Beetroot Boltardy is perfect for exhibition. Being deep red in colour and smooth skinned, this beetroot is ideal. Being a winner of the RHS Award of Garden Merit, the beetroot boltardy will certainly be a favourite in no time at all. Recommended for early sowing.
Suitable for organic growing. Recommended for freezing. Twist off foliage when picking, as cutting will make stems bleed sap.HEALTH BENEFITS: Roots rich in potassium and folate plus some vitamin C, and known to improve the immune system. CULINARY TIPS: Tops of young roots can be used as spinach.
Growing Information
Sow beetroot seeds in mid-spring. Sow autumn crops in mid to late summer. Thin seedlings to roughly 10cm apart to grow large roots.
